Poor Lazarus
Altbier
The lastest Moby Dick seasonal offering. Altbiers were historically brewed in Dusseldorf. Alt is a variation of “auld” or old in German. It uses the “old style” of brewing, which means it’s an ale. It is a full-flavored, medium-bodied, ruby colored ale with a crisp finish. Alts tend to have a slight fruitiness, that is tamed by aging the beer at cooler temperatures longer than usual. This gives Alts the clean, crip lager-like characteristics that made it famous.
