Sailors’ Delirium

Double IPA

Sailors’ Delirium is a double, or Imperial, IPA. It is full-flavored, full bodied and aggressively hopped. While a brew dominated by the hops, there is malty backbone that is able to subdue the high alcohol flavors usually associated with this style. The aggressive dry hopping gives this double IPA an impressive aroma.

“Be that how it may, there stands the vast arched bone of the whale’s jaw, so wild a coach might almost drive beneath it. Within are shabby shelves, ranged round with old decanters, bottles, flasks; and in another cursed Jonah (by which name they called him), bustles a little withered old man, who for their money, dearly sells the sailors delirium and death.” Chapter 3, “The Spouter-Inn”
